This piece was recorded around 2005. It is a combination of field recordings, synthesizers, and samples of the Hildegard von Bingen composition "O Jerusalem" (see credits below). The composition was the starting point for my piece, and I also wanted to draw an analogy between the building of the old Jerusalem (and St. Rupert's monastery, which Hildegard herself re-founded) and the construction of a new shopping mall in Helsinki, Finland. And the end is about getting away from all that to somewhere quiet. Or something like that.

Recorded and mixed in 2005 on 2-track md dat to md. Transferred from md to digital by Juri Puhakka in fall 2016.
