After recording the 'O Jerusalem' "variations", I wanted to create a longer piece consisting strictly of recorded sounds of nature (i.e. forest) with improvised synthesizer on top. I recorded an hour's worth of forest sounds in Kuusamo on a beautiful summer day, around 2005 I guess. You can almost hear the ants walking, if not talking, and you can certainly hear the birds, bumblebees and what not. There was some stronger wind and light rain at some point. When I was listening to the recording and playing the synthesizer, I tried to play together with the sounds of nature, and sometimes even imitate them. A pretty ambitious idea maybe, and a very lo-tech realization in the end, but I like the way it turned out. It had to be edited into three parts, because 290 MB is a maximum limit in Bandcamp.
